The program for our next regular meeting on August 20 should be "China off the Beaten Track" by yours truly.    Will include photos of some fantastic birds and mammals and scenery, but some information  about what is going on in China at this time, both good and bad, and where they are headed.  I think it will be an interesting topic, and am sure that some of our members will have thoughts to share with everyone. 

FYI:  The board will not and cannot vote on nominations for officers and board members, as per our bylaws.  The nominations, which are not completed at this time, will need to be published in the newsletter 2 weeks before a vote of the General Membership at a regular meeting.  It looks like that cannot be completed before September now.
