Hi,

I am inviting you to join a new playwrights (and actor/technician/designer/videographer etc) group (potentially a new theater) which will meet at C3TV, Whites Path, Yarmouth, the third Friday of every month from 7-9PM starting in September (Sept. 18th.)
The group will be dedicated to readings, staged readings eventually and perhaps even a production or two, either at the Cape Cod Cultural Center or taped with a live audience, perhaps at C3TV.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining us by replying to this email.
If you are on this list and are not a theater person per se, but have friends who are interested, please have them contact us.

We want to start with a core of playwrights, actors, directors, artists -- and then expand.
While you do not necessarily have to be a professional in theater, we would like some prior experience and an authentic level of expertise.
A mild process of vetting will occur. Email a tiny sample of work and a brief bio. Bring us an idea of how long the piece is you want to read, and when you would prefer, and we will schedule it.

After we begin to feel our way through readings, we can determine where the future lies in terms of a production or two for the public.

(Unless invited to join, we are not open to writers who are members of other playwrighting groups which already serve various communities for that would be redundant.)
However we ARE inclusive of  any actor or tech or director etc. -- most welcome to participate, indeed finding a strong, talented and committed core of professional quality actors and directors (and sound and light folks) is essential to the success of this project down the road.

Our tentative name? Playwrights, actors (and artists of Cape Cod) compact theater. Or PACT.
(Also Post (pre Pre) Apocalyptic Cape Theater! or Portable Artists on Cape, Theater)

Sincerely,

Lee Roscoe

Lee,

I would love to join, but am not available until October.  I come back from India on 14th October.

We have a place on the Cape, which I do try to visit as much as possible.  Actually will be there remaining part of August before going to India.

Let me know that it is fine for me to join when I return and rules etc.  I do have some new works that I would like to hear voiced and PACT sounds like a good vehicle.

I am attaching bio.

Do you want one of my pieces also?

Are you limiting to shorts and one acts?

Kindly let me know next steps.

Cheers,

Hello Lee Roscoe and Greg Hischak,

Fantastic... a new group on the Cape. Absolutely, count me in.
I've put this meeting on my calendar and will see which way the wind
blows as my transition to East Coast continues to develop. I've just
moved here from San Francisco and seek to connect with artists here in
Mass.

I'm a writer/director and teacher/actor. I have three screenplays in
various stages, and I've just completed a one-act. Possibly looking
to move to the Cape for the winter, and really get things done....

Teaching and some directing credits are on LinkedIN.com
Acting credits are here: IMDb.com, as well as BostonCasting.com (SAG/
AFTRA)
Please request links and resumes for further information about my
background. I look forward to meeting you.
