Heavy Chain Lock

Hi All,

I’m thinking of getting a Kryptonite heavy-chain lock with hardened steel links. I’ve been getting many reports of thefts including some in which the thieves cut through a horseshoe lock. I’ve been told that an angle grinder can’t cut through those links. I’ve also been told that an angle grinder could and that the angle grinder works by heating up the metal until it starts to melt. Anyone have any intelligence on this? TIA.
