This September, when Pope Francis comes to Washington, DC, women from around the country will welcome him and echo his message of dignity for migrants.
On September 15, 100 women will embark on a pilgrimage from a site of human suffering — a detention center in York County, Pennsylvania — and walk 100 miles to Washington carrying with them their stories and hopes as immigrant women in the US.
This Sunday, at 11am, at Friendship Park, there wil be a farewell celebration for three of the marchers who will go to this pilgrimage. They will be representing deported U.S. vets and deported moms of DREAMers and the Standing on the Side of Love campaign.
Everyone is invited to join us on both sides of the Border Field Park (AKA: Binational Friendship Park)
