In chapter four Dorian Gray says 'I know what pleasure is. It is to
worship someone.'

What do you think?

In my opinion, Dorian is not completely right. He says pleasure is to
worship someone, but I don't think it is just that. Of course, people
feel pleasure when they worship someone, but I think if they confine
pleasure to worship, they would be futile people. And that's what I
think Dorian is - he thinks too much about beauty and not so much
about personality. This happens because he is easily influenced and
Lord Henry stills controlling some of his thoughts.
