WOW!  What a great Roundtable last night!  A lot of information was passed out, and some great topics were discussed.  Here are some of the upcoming events that are going on in Bo Qui:
 
Friends of Scouting
The majority of units have scheduled their presentation, and are rolling.  The following units still need to schedule/reschedule theirs: 
Packs:  17, 139, 212
Troops:  100, 119, 121, 137, 241, 333
Please help us have a successful year for Bo Qui!

Kids' Fest
Again this year, we are participating in Kids' Fest this weekend at the Varied Industries Building at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.  Our district is responsible for containing our excitement at the Scouting booth on Sunday. If you are available, wear your uniform, bring your Scouts in uniform, and have fun with us!
 
Training
This weekend, we are offering a number of training courses at Norwalk High School (1201 North Av., Norwalk)  Courses start a 9 AM.  Here is what we're offering:
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) (There is a $5 charge to cover food).
New Leader Essentials
Tiger Cub Den Leader
Den Leader
Bear Den Leader
Webelos Den Leader
Cubmaster
Pack Committee
Scoutmaster
Troop Committee
Chartered Organization Representative
The Tamaha District has invited us to participate in their training courses as well.  This is another opportunity for those of you who are unable to make ours Saturday.  Tamaha is offering their courses on April 2, starting at 8:30 AM at Hope United Methodist Church (2203 S 3rd Av., Marshalltown) the following courses:

Den Leader
Bear Den Leader
Webelos Den Leader
Cubmaster
Scoutmaster
Venture Crew Advisor
The Hawkeye District has also invited us to participate in theirs.  Their training courses are:
April 7, 7 PM at the Scout Office (1659 E. Euclid Av., Des Moines)

April 9, 9 AM at Altoona United Methodist Church (602 5th Av. SW, Altoona)

Another opportunity for training is being offered by the Broken Arrow district.  On April 9, starting at 8:30 AM at Howe Hall, Iowa State University (a fee of $5 is being charged), they are offering:

Yet another training opportunity is being offered by the Raccoon River Valley district.  They are offering Scoutmaster training in three different parts.  The first includes New Leader Essentials starting at 7 PM on April 13 at Merrill Middle School (5301 Grand Av., Des Moines).  The second session is on April 16, starting at 8 AM at St. Paul Presbyterian Church (6426 Merle Hay Rd., Johnston).  The third session is on April 19, starting at 6:30 PM again at St. Paul Presbyterian Church.  More information is available by contacting Jim Schumaker at jschu...@dwx.com.
 
Spring Camporee
This year's spring camporee is being hosted by Troop 137 from Corydon.  The theme is Invisible Herd.  Scouts will learn about Leave No Trace camping techniques.  Preregistration is required.  You can get more details from your Scoutmaster, Cubmaster, or Webelos Den Leader. (Leaders, the flier was mailed to you on Wednesday).
 
I'm sure I forgot something, but there's the bulk of it.  Make it a great weekend for Scouting!
