Welcome to the new version of the E-Zine.  This is the main method in which up-to-date information will be communicated.

 

So,  here's the scoop:

 

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Be sure to watch a Cub Scouting family get their house made over this Sunday, the 6th, at 7 PM CST on ABC.

 

District Training Opportunities

This past Thursday, you should have received a special e-mail with information about our March 12 training at Norwalk High School.  Printed fliers were mailed to all registered adult leader today.  SHould you need more information on the training, please contact Kurt at khof...@bsamail.org.  THe Tamaha District will be offering basic leader training courses April 2nd, beginning at 8 AM at Hope United Methodist Church in Marshaltown.  Pre-registration is preferred.  You can e-mail Todd Eipperle at tamah...@iowatelecom.net.

 

Friends of Scouting

To date, our district is just over 40% of the way to raising our goal of $52,250.  We have until the end of April to accomplish this task.  Friends of Scouting subsidizes summer cmaping opportunities, Cub Scout Day Camps, adult leader training, and much more.  Please encourage your unit's families, your place of business, and everyone in your community to support Scouting through Friends of Scouting.

 

Roundtable

The next Roundtable is MArch 10 at First Baptist Church in Indianola.  The meeting starts at 7 PM at all are welcome.  THe Boy Scout leaders will be discussing Agribusiness Merit Badge, and some other surprises.  THe Cub Scouters will be going through the Program Helps for April to help spice up your Pack meeting.

 

District COmmittee and Commissioner Corps

The next Dostrict COmmittee meeting is at 5:45 PM on the 10th.  Beginning April 7, the Commissioners will meet at 6:30, and the District Committee will meet on at 7:30.  Both meetings will be held at First Baptist CHurch in Indianola.  So, please mark your calendars for the first Thursday of every month for your appropriate meeting.
