ALL SCOUTING LEADERS WANT TO “BE PREPARED” TO “DO THEIR BEST” FOR THEIR YOUTH

+ CHARACTER CONNECTIONS ORIENTATION+
WILL HELP YOU ACHIEVE A GREAT RELATIONSHIP WITH THE YOUTH YOU SERVE AND PROVIDE YOU WITH THE KNOWLEDGE TO GIVE THEM A QUALITY PROGRAM

THIS IS A SPECIAL INVITATION TO YOU AND MEMBERS OF YOUR UNIT TO ATTEND AN ORIENTATION COURSE AT THE CLAYMAN SCOUT SERVICE CENTER

Saturday, April 2, 2005

8:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon for Cub Scout Leaders

Clayman Scout Service Center at 1659 E. Euclid Ave. in Des Moines, Iowa
The purpose of the Character Connections program is to help prepare your leaders in carrying out their duties as a Scout Leader - preparing young people to make decisions based on the ideals of Scouting. The activities are fun, active, challenging and they can be fully integrated into your existing Scout program.
The Character Connections program will teach you how to lead games and activities, and how to lead a discussion about what the boys learned from the activities. We will also review some of the resources that are available within the Mid-Iowa Council to assist unit and non-unit leaders in incorporating the Character Connections concepts into your program. Finally, we’ll have a lot of fun because that’s what Scouting is all about!
