I walked around a manga store in Hong Kong this afternoon and found
this interesting book called "Ray Plus".

This is a new work by Akihito Yoshitomi, the creator of manga "RAY"
and anime "RAY The Animation". Akihito said that this is an addition
to the original manga series, being the eighth, and also the last,
book of RAY. Inside it explained some of the unsolved issue in the
originals, such as "Is the boy Kenji being cured by Ray? Are they
lovers?"

I think most of you know that our hero appeared briefly in this manga
before. This time he appeared again, together with Pinoko! And he
finally has his full name, being called as Dr. Black Jack. It looks
like the copyright issue was solved.

BJ appeared in 2 stories. The first one is story tells why Ray was
sent to BJ after her eyeballs were picked by the organ harvesters. I
revealed that BJ knew the existence of such an organization before
carrying out such an operation. He is also a friend of Ray's
stepfather, Dr. Asawa.

The second story is a new BJ story created by Akihito, not a rewritten
work! A transparent patient was brought to BJ. His task is to cure the
patient to make her visible again. So, should I call it story #246?

This book is first published in Japan last year by Akita Bookshop. The
one I got is the Taiwanese version published last month.

That's good to hear.  I hope they print that one in French the way they did with the rest of the series.
