The purpose of this group is to enable both resident and visiting birders to share up to date information on the birds being spotted on the island. It is an informal group for birders to share what is around. It cannot be checked for accuracy or be held responsible for misinformation. Selected sightings of more unusual species may be added to the BirdLife Cyprus web page 'Recent Sightings' section and to the country database. Don’t forget to make all your records count by submitting them to the BirdLife Cyprus Recorder, Anders Gray, at birdid@birdlifecyprus.org.cy to add them to the country database. Please contact him for details on how to do this.

Any member joining for the purpose of sending spam etc or promoting commercial or other services to members via this group will be removed from the list of members. Please respect this condition of your membership.

Any member failing to respect the posts of other members will be removed from the group and will not be re-admitted.
