Yesterday, Prof. Sarker’s really interesting piece entitled “Emergence
of Divinity in Man Through Bio-cosmological Evolution” (that is
devoted to the philosophy of divinity and cosmology) has appeared in

My first reaction and the first inquiry is: To my mind, Aristotle’s
philosophy cannot be referred to the modern vitalism.
Indeed, “vitalism” is a non-mechanistic philosophy. However, the gist
is that the “vital principle” (which is the main conception in the
modern forms of vitalism) – it means that «vital energies» are
distinguished as living and, thus, are separated from non-living
matter.
Hence, this is rightly contrary to Aristotle’s cornerstone principle
of hylomorphism and immanent essentialism, but is rather close to
Plato’s dualism (transcendent essentialism).
