TITLE 

Interdisciplinary Approach to Personalized Genomic Medicine in Cancer, with Applications of Machine Learning

Abstract

In this talk I will describe approaches and results from some applications of machine learning and image processing to clinical/genetic diagnosis, and guidance of treatment of cancer in humans. The work is being conducted as part of a multi-institution NIH/NCI (National Cancer Institute) initiative – QIN, the Quantitative Imaging Network -- in the USA. I will describe the considerable data resources that have been generated, and that are publically available (in most cases), and the efforts to date to bring these resources to bear on translational medicine and clinical decision support.
