Research Associate in Terrestrial Ecology/Ecotoxicology
We are looking to appoint a terrestrial ecologist/ecotoxicologist to join a research project funded by the European Food Safety Authority. You will contribute to research advancing the environmental risk assessment for terrestrial arthropods with a specific focus on the impact of pesticides on ecological functions and ecosystem services. The research project is a collaboration between the universities of Sheffield, Coimbra (Portugal), Osnabrück (Germany) and Wageningen University & Research (Netherlands).
This is a fixed-term position for 2 years and the salary range is £32,344 - £34,304 per annum. The closing date for applications is 21st March 2022.
Applicants must have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in a relevant biological discipline along with experience working in a research environment. Knowledge of terrestrial ecology, including the ecology of terrestrial arthropods and their role in ecological processes are also essential.
