Please be aware that there will be a fundraiser for TFI on April 15th.

Want to help support the reforestation of Tropical Rain Forests?
For the those of you who don't know, the Tropical Forestry Initiative is a non-profit organization based in Costa Rica that funds student research and the reforestation of tropical rain-forests, as well as community outreach.
On Sunday, April 15th, there will be a two-part fundraiser event for the Tropical Forestry Initiative. The first part is a 5K walk/run around the campus perimeter (inside the Brain), beginning at 11am (starts in front of the Old Union bus stop). There will be a Battle of the Bands concert later that night at 8pm at the Undergrounds in the Old Union.
You can "purchase" tickets (contribute donations) at http://bingtickets.universitytickets.com/user_pages/event.asp?id=171&%3Bcid=40. You can buy as many tickets as you want, so you can donate as much money as you like. You can also choose to buy a ticket for only the walk/run, only the Battle of the Bands, or a combo ticket for both - and there are both student and non-student ticket prices (donation amounts).
