This just in… please help a great company do great work.  Just show up or sign-up; either way, happy trails to you!

First, save the dates:

Sunday June 8 -- less than 2 weeks away!  Sign up now!

Saturday, July 26th

Sunday, September 21st

Other details:

How to sign up: Sign-up sheets will be posted on the philanthropy board by the kitchen by the end of today.  Alternatively if you don't work at the mothership, feel free to email me to RSVP.

Time: We get started pretty early (8:00) to beat the heat.  And we're usually done by 1 or 2, with beers/snacks to follow.

Where: You can either meet us at the Hewlett's Gulch trailhead or no later than 7:15 at the brewery if you want to carpool.

What do we do? It varies, but work could include clearing away overgrown brush, building water bars and check dams to help with water run-off, clearing big rocks, or finding big rocks for stepping stones through water crossings.

What to wear: Boots (if you have them, but at least closed toed shoes), long pants, work gloves, sunglasses.

What to bring: Sunscreen, water/snacks, family members over the age of 12.

What is provided? Hard hats, tools, and a cold one when we're done working.

What if I've never done trail maintenance before?  Not a problem.  We have the capable guidance of Forest Service Fred as well as many experienced volunteers from the Diamond Peaks Mountain Bike Patrol who will be able to teach you everything you need to know to help out.

Also, as with any volunteer work that you do, you will receive 1 hour of PTO for every 2 hours of trail work that you do!

Cheers,

Tamar Smolowitz
