Thunderstorms, hail and the odd tornado have been predicted for the next
couple of days.
Meteorologists said low pressure would sweep across Britain from this
evening, producing heavy rain and electrical storms.

The unsettled weather is expected to continue until at least tomorrow,
with the potential of even heavier rain on Friday.
The Environment Agency has three flood warnings in the North East and is
keeping an eye on the Midlands.
Paul Knightley, a forecaster from MeteoGroup UK, said: "There could be
quite spectacular storms. It is not out of the question that we will get
the odd tornado."
The freak conditions are most likely to occur between the Severn Estuary
and the Wash.
