Pagans, Wizards and Witches to Meet in St. Louis *
How much about the world of Wizards and Witches do you know? At the
Midwest's Largest Pagan Event, The St. Louis Pagan Picnic, two leading
schools will be testing the knowledge of their students and all comers,
as part of the Wizards and Witches Trivia Tournament. This contest will
be the first of its kind, and open to the public.
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) June 5, 2009 -- Oberon Zell of Grey School and Don
Lewis of Witch School have agreed to a trivia contest about all things
magical to test their students and all comers. They plan to meet on June
13th & 14th at the St. Louis Pagan Picnic, held at Tower Grove Park. The
St. Louis Pagan Picnic is the largest Pagan gathering in the Midwest,
and brings together thousands for a weekend of friendship, fellowship,
entertainment, teaching and merchants. The Wizards and Witches Trivia
contest will be just one of the many parts to this wonderful event, but
for the students of Grey School and Witch School, it is a highly
anticipated one.
This meet is very special, as Oberon Zell, one of the Great Elders of
the Pagan Community, will be returning to his hometown, where his
amazing journey began. It was in this area that Oberon first coined the
word "Pagan" as a religious self-identifier that is now used by millions
of people, founded the Church of All Worlds, and presented the Gaia
Thesis, which is a view of life on earth being part of a greater whole
known as "Gaia". This amazing person, known as one of the Greatest
Living Wizards today, makes his way back to this wonderful city of St.
Louis, where he is challenging the next generation of Wizards and
Witches to develop their skills.
Witch School, represented by Don Lewis-Highcorrell, will also be
involved, as they will be providing the support staff. Rev. Lewis is the
Chancellor and First Priest of the Correllian Tradition and a lifelong
Wiccan and Witch. Together Oberon and Don represent a superb meeting of
magickal minds and represent the best of online and personal public
education in the magickal world today. This tournament will allow them,
in a fun way, to test students and all comers on their knowledge and be
challenged to see how much more they need to learn. Of course, prizes
will be given to the winners of the contest.
The meet is at the 17th Annual St. Louis Pagan Picnic, hosted by Yarrow
Coven, and has become a powerful draw for Midwest Pagans and those who
are simply curious. It's open to the public, and held at Tower Grove
Park, this year June 13th & 14th. The Wizards and Witches Trivia
Tournament is open to all to join until all competitive slots are
filled. So come out and join us at the St. Louis Pagan Picnic.
