New Hampshire legalizes gay marriage*
The state of New Hampshire has legalized gay marriage, becoming the
sixth state to do so in the United States of America.
The new law was signed today by governor John Lynch, shortly after the
state government approved the law. Homosexual marriages will be legally
accepted in the state in January 2010.
New Hampshire is added to the list of states that have legalized gay
marriage, including New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Maine and Iowa.
In California, gay marriage has been declared illegal after a ban on
said marriages was renewed.
