AP's earlier story is below.

MINNEPOLIS (AP) _ Large hail and reported tornadoes damaged a grain
elevator in Iowa and tore up homes in Minnesota on Sunday as severe
thunderstorms moved across the Midwest.

The Butler County sheriff's department said a possible tornado touched
down in northeast Iowa, and authorities were investigating some reports
of injuries. There were reports of damage to Parkersburg, Iowa, a town
of roughly 1,000, and rural areas outside of town.

North of the Twin Cities, multiple homes were damaged in Hugo, which
appeared to be the hardest hit, the National Weather Service said. There
were no immediate reports of injuries.

Trained weather spotters also reported a tornado in Coon Rapids, the
weather service said. The twister downed some power and phone lines and
uprooted trees in the area.

Hail, some as large as baseballs, pelted Monticello, Maple Lake and
Albertville, breaking house and car windows.
