Tornado Warnings Issued for Dallas Area*

DALLAS (AP) - Tornado warnings were issued Friday night for the
Dallas-Fort Worth area as strong hailstorms moved through the region.
There were no immediate reports of injuries, but television coverage
showed some scattered building damage.
The National Weather Service said a tornado was spotted near Bedford -
between Dallas and Forth Worth.
In Haltom City, more than a dozen tractor trailers were seen overturned
in a business area.
The bad weather forced cancellation of NASCAR Nextel Cup qualifying at
Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.
Thousands of fans who showed up to watch qualifying were being advised
to move to safety as tornado sirens blared at the speedway.
Storms also canceled a series of promotional events, including a Cheap
Trick concert and appearances by race car drivers in Fort Worth.
