Rosimeiri Boxall, 19, fell 30ft as she tried to get away from her ordeal
in a bedsit used as temporary accommodation for homeless people.

At first police believed the teenager had been pushed or thrown from the
third-floor window of the Victorian building near Greenwich, south
London, but are now confident she was not.

They are trying to establish exactly what went on in the room that made
her so determined to flee that she would jump.

A source said: "She wasn't pushed and that doesn't leave many other
possibilities. The question is what happened that could have made her
jump of her own volition."

Neighbours described hearing an extended period of shouting and
screaming from the bedsit before Miss Boxall was found on the ground
beneath the open window at 6.30pm on Saturday. She had suffered internal
injuries.

Two girls aged 13 and 17 have been arrested and bailed over her death.
Mobile phones recovered from the room are being examined to see if any
pictures were taken of the victim in the minutes before her death.

Miss Boxall was adopted by missionary parents as a young child in Brazil
and brought to England.

On Monday her father, Simon, and mother, Rachel, said her death had
"left a void in this close-knit family that cannot be filled".

Mr Boxall, 53, who is now the vicar of the Open Gateway Community Church
in Thamesmead, south-east London, added: "She was a loving, caring
person who brought frequently-remembered times of fun and laughter to
the family.

"More than just a daughter and sister, she was also a great friend who
will always be missed."

Miss Boxall, who had been studying child care at college, had moved out
of the family home and police are investigating who she had become
friendly with.

Her father said what she was doing at the homeless building was a mystery.

He said: "She was there at the wrong time. She fell, or came out of the
window, and that's as far as we know. The police are still in the midst
of trying to find out what happened there."

The Boxalls have four natural sons older than their daughter – Josh,
Luke, Nathan and Alex.

A close family friend said: "They are a lovely family and a very caring
and very supportive family. We are all praying for them. They did good
work as missionaries."
