Strong Earthquake hits eastern Indonesia*

JAKARTA, April 30 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with magnitude of 6.1
rocked eastern parts of Indonesia on Wednesday morning, the meteorology
agency said here.
The quake struck at 02:10 Jakarta time (1910GMT) with the epicenter
at 306 kilometers southwest Ambon, the capital of Maluku province and at
406 kilometers under sea bed, an official of the agency Adam Malik told
Xinhua.
