TONGA has been rocked by a strong earthquake in the South Pacific with a
magnitude of 6.1.

Homes and other buildings were violently shaken but there have been no
immediate reports of damage or injury, Associated Press reported.

The quake struck about 200km northeast of Tonga's capital, Nuku'alofa,
20km below the sea floor, the US Geological Survey said.
