Coordinator of Volunteer Services - Vermont Refugee Resettlement
Office
Burlington, Vermont

The Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program (VRRP), a field office of the
U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), a nongovernmental,
not-for-profit national organization dedicated to addressing the needs
and rights of refugees and immigrants, seeks a committed professional
to lead our volunteer services department. Full time employment with
excellent benefits.

Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Coordinator of
Volunteer Services will be responsible for recruiting, training, and
supporting a base of 250 volunteers as well as for engaging community
groups in VRRP’s mission. Carrying out these responsibilities will
require a close connection with all new refugee families. This
position will also include community fundraising, the coordination of
in-kind donations, oversight of volunteer newsletter, supervision of
staff, and some evening and weekend meetings. Other duties may be
assigned by the Director.
We are seeking a candidate with strong leadership skills who is
dedicated to creating a welcoming community for refugees. Successful
applicants will have excellent interpersonal, writing, and
organizational skills, be team-oriented, and have ability to multi-
task in a fast-paced environment. College degree and MS Office
proficiency required. Foreign language ability and experience in multi-
cultural environments preferred.
