Dear Mixed Student Union (MSU),
My name is Alexandra Broustovetskaia and I am a doctoral student at Purdue University. I am conducting a study on unique factors and challenges of first year ethnic minority students during institutional integration. I hope you could assist me in recruiting students by forwarding the email below to the students on your listservs or to any 18 year old or older ethnic minority first year students.
The findings from this study may increase understanding of the role of biculturalism and discrimination with the far-reaching implication of student persistence. The findings may lead to inform interventions and may be important for counseling psychologists and organizational administrators. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in distributing the recruitment email. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

Dear Student,
We are interested in understanding the role of biculturalism and perceived discrimination on institutional integration among ethnic minority students. I will be collecting data under the supervision of my adviser, Dr. Ayse Ciftci. Your participation is much appreciated! This study has been approved by Purdue University Institutional Review Board.
In order to participate, you must be at least 18 years of age, identify as an ethnic/racial minority, and be in the first year of your academic career. If you decide to participate in this study, please click on the link below and you will be directed to the online survey. The survey should take you approximately 25 minutes to complete. Your responses will be kept confidential and will only be viewed by the investigators.
At the end of the questionnaire there will be an opportunity to enter a lottery drawing of a $25 Target gift card by submitting your email address. The odds of winning will depend on the number of responses, but they are expected to be 1 out of 250 or better. Your responses will remain anonymous even if you participate in the drawing. A separate data file will be used to store your email address and responses, so there will be no way of connecting your survey responses to your email address.
