Hello again,
Does anyone have experience replacing the fitting for a water tank. The brass/chrome fitting on my starboard side water tank failed (and broke). I temporarily sealed it as best I could but it needs replacement. Some obstacles include: water tank is molded into the hull and the top is sealed and screwed in, all of which is under the floorboards and seating in the salon. The original fitting is on the inside of the tank with two bolts coming through lid and secured with small washer/hex nuts.
Bene spare parts lists the obsolete part and the new plastic part as an 90 degree elbow (90DG D15 W/G). So I am searching for a less invasive way to repair. I highlighted the part in the attached. Help is appreciated.

Assume that this is the fill line. The presence of the exterior nut tells me it is a bulkhead fitting. So I would look for a 90 degree bulkhead fitting. The d15 probably means metric 15mm dia. The screws act as a strain relief. Not necessary if there is
no pull force on the line.
