Hello,

I need to replace the keel bolts on my 1988 First 285.
Please let me know if they are still available from Beneteau and who I should contact for further information.
Thank you.

Gerard

Gerard,

Attached is a document published by Beneteau on keel bolt replacement. The bolts are being replaced with SS threaded studs and nuts. You can purchase them directly from Beneteau USA. Contact this guy and he will have the parts shipped directly from Beneteau to you. John is awesome to work with. I replaced all the bolts on a 1990 First 32s5 I owned at the time and it went well.

I have a 84 First 42. Wanted to do this also. What have you all paid for this?

Ralph,

I don’t need to replace my bolts (yet), but this sort of technical information is priceless!  Thank you for sharing.

Years and years ago I remember reading about a guy that cut a slit in his old keel bolts so he could use one to clean up the threads before putting new bolts in.
