Does anyone have a cross reference for the westerbeke 011951 oil filter? I have used a NAPA filter but have lossed the number.

In terms of brand I have had very good experience with Wix filters.

Google wix vs any other brand and in the list will be a video of the comparisons of various filter brands.  Someone actually disassembled a variety of brands and shows the components.  Point is that Wix is a very good filter

Thanks Mark,

I am starting to think that it does not make much difference what filter goes on as long as it is the same diameter as the fixture.

Neal, I agree. Any well known brand that fits should work. I run less than 50 hrs per year and clean air. I know I don't need to change oil and filter every year, but cheap insurance.

My manual says the oil and filter on a diesel should be changed when winterizing. The oil carries the sulfur and more and when left sit over winter, corrosion and pitting inside the engine takes place.
