Torque vs HP on Perkins 103-10

I am trying to decide if I need to adjust my maxi-prop.

With the previous 2.53:1 transmission, I had to run at RPM to get 6 knots  and the engine bled an ounce or so of oil on short trips but never enough to require topping up between changes.

This replacement tranny is as far as I can tell ~1.2:1 and I can get the engine up to a true 2760 to 2800 RPM.  More throttle does nothing but the boat makes 6 knots plus with a clean hull.

After this change I was surprised not to see any oil under the engine after three or four hours running.

So, should I adjust the prop or just be thankful that it is working so well?

I had understood that it is proper to adjust the prop so it just allows the engine to reach the max RPMs but what is that number for a 103-10?  I looked everywhere for torque and fuel consumption curves with no luck.

I'm happy now, but is my engine happy?

Perkins M30 is 3600 rpm however  diesels should only be taken to 80 % of max 2880 rpm

What make/model transmission? Perkins? 
Do you have the max prop manual?

It is  a Hurth HBW100, I assume.  The label is missing.  And yes, I have read   and understand the engine, transmission, and the prop manuals. 

My question is what is the optimal full throttle RPM and cruising RPM for the Perkins 103-10.  I cannot find that anywhere.

I told you 2800 rpm ,my 351 does 7knots with a kiwi prop and clean bottom . 103-10 is the Perkins M30 and is also the Volvo MD 2030 , Perkins built them for Volvo
