Save the date!  The AHA's national Big Brew Day was last weekend, but we weren't quite ready for that so we'll be hosting our own group brew a month later Saturday June 6th.  Bring your brew system over to Joe Postma's house for a day of camaraderie, brewing, snacking, and sharing homebrew.  It will be two months out from the Best of the Bay so a great opportunity to make something both to enter and/or to bring to the award ceremony!  We'll be working on adding circuit breakers and outlets to Joe's backyard brew shed to accommodate the fact that so many people are brewing eclectic these days, but might be interested in some rsvps from electric brewers at some point to make sure we've got it covered.  Even if you're not going to brew (but really why aren't you?), feel free to stop by and say hi and hang out and have a donut or brat.  More details to come.

Just wanted to remind everyone about the Big Brew day we have coming up on June 6th. It's a great time to bring your homebrewing setup and show off what you got. We hope to get a lot of people brewing! If you plan on brewing, please RSVP to me with how big your system is and how much power you require. We should be able to accommodate everyone.

Neal Tognazzini has offered to pick up orders at Northwest Brewing Supply earlier in the week of the 6th. Coordinate with him if you'd like to place an order. I'll have a grain mill available and buckets with pbw/starsan/etc.

It'll also be a good time to do a homebrew gear swap/sale/giveaway. I'll have some things in the free pile (carboys), and some in the real cheap pile (kettles, cam lock fittings). Bring your gear that's been collecting dust and see if anyone else could use it!

Official start time is 9am. Feel free to drop by anytime during the day even if you're not brewing. Bring a friend who wants to learn how to brew beer. Should be a good time!

2531 West St in Bellingham. We'll be in the backyard.

Cheers!
Joe

Looking forward to a good brew day on Saturday! We should have 5-6 brewing setups going on throughout the day. I still have room for 1 or 2 more if anyone still wants to brew. Please let me know.

We'll have donuts in the AM and I've got brats and veggie dogs for lunch. Anyone is welcome to stop by and hang out.

If you're brewing, feel free to drop equipment off on Friday if you'd like or bring it on Saturday. If you have an extra pop-up tent for the drizzle, it might be good insurance.

See you Saturday!

Joe
