Dear Bryan

You had a succinct one-liner by Bell which for you summarizes Bell’s theorem. Could you repeat it for me, please? (Preferably with reference to where this was said).

I hope you noticed that I *never* refused to debate with you. Faint hearted, I am not. But I do not automatically debate publicly under conditions formulated unilaterally by yourself.

You are making the same mistake as when we moved towards a public bet: you rushed to a public announcement of the bet before we had formulated objective criteria for determining who had won it (and when).

“If [a hidden-variable theory] is local it will not agree with quantum mechanics, and if it agrees with QM it will not be local.”

Obviously wrong.

Bell was wrong big time.

I believe I have seen that quote in "Speakable and Unspeakable in Quantum Mechanics".

That quote of Bell's should have been in the "Bell's Biggest Mistake" thread.  He was wrong with his assumption that quantum mechanics is non-local for EPR-Bohm.
