Help with belltree set-up

I have the opportunity to play the belltree part for Built on the Rock, arr. by Kevin McChesney, at our local handbell event in April.  It was just played in LaCrosse, WI, at the Area 7 festival in 2024.

Are there any performance notes or a separate copy for the belltree part or suggestions for arranging the bells on the tree?  Any help would be appreciated.

Bonnie - I’m so excited that you are taking this on. It is fun to play. I’m not home today but Friday I can send you a link for the BT part. I thought it had been made available at Jeffers but if not, I have permission to share the BT part. 

I played it on the standard Brocker keyboard set up. 

Deb Madel and Denean Smith played it as a duet. I think this was based on a setup that Christina Harold came up with. 

Michelle Hedgren played it with two strings hung “flat”. 

Call me if you want to talk through anything in more detail.

This one is a lot of fun! I use a modified version of the Brocker setup (keyboard order, but C7 is on the left and the highest note in the second strand is C#7).

Let me know if seeing my marked music from festival would be helpful - wrote in a lot of Rs and Ls.

Thanks! Seeing your music would be great, but I don't want to cause you a lot of time and trouble.  

 Is there a separate score for just the belltree part or did you read off the full choir score?
