ARKANSAS PECAN DRESSING

1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
1 tbsp ground sage
1 (16 oz) pkg cornbread stuffing mix
4 cups whole wheat bread crumbs (about 8 slices)
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preheat ovent o 375 degrees F. Butter a 12-cup baking dish.

Saute celery, green pepper, and onion in butter in a large skillet until soft.

Stir in parsley, poultry seasoning, sage, cornbread stuffing mix, whole wheat crumbs and chicken broth. Stir to mix thoroughly; stir in pecans. Spoon into prepared baking dish.

Bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes.
