Hello there!

It's been a while since thre has been an email update with the
upcoming events. We'll try better this time again. So, in case you
were wondering, yes - the club is still alive! We may not have been
as publicly active, but there has been activity going on!

Classes are sill going strong in the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Shahala Liz has started teaching at the SouthEast YMCA. But, the
biggest news is that the dance studio has expanded to having 2 rooms
for classes - so Nomadic Tapestry at 1219 Jordan Lane is extremely
active with classes! There are basic bellydance classes going on
every Monday through Thursday from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. There are also
classes at lunchtime, 11:30 -12:30 pm on Tuesday and Thursdays if you
would rather make it during the day. All the basic classes are geared
for people to start at anytime! Check out the Nomadic Tapestry
website for full details: www.nomadictapestry.com

Other news - the club will be having a Bellydance Flea Market / Swap
Meet on Saturday, December 6 at the Nomadic Tapestry studio from 2 to
5 pm. Come out and shop, meet the dancers, or stay and watch videos
playing throughout that time. Then, come back dressed in your new
costume for a Christmas Hafla starting at 6:00 pm. If you want to
perform, you are more than welcome to showcase what you are working
on...or if you just want to relax and mingle, that would be wonderful
as well.

Finally, the club would like to inform everyone that Nomadic Tapestry
is sponsoring a workshop with Artemis Mourat on November 21 through
23. If you don't feel like you are ready for a workshop, then at
least come support Shahala Liz's 5th Annual Toys for Tots Hafla that
Saturday night, November 22 to be held at the American Legion Post 237
at 2900 Drake Avenue. 100% of the ticket sales will go towards Toys
for Tots. Unwrapped new toys will also be graciously accepted. Bring
extra money for the chinese silent auction that is being held as
well. All the proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to
Toys for Tots. Ticket prices for the show - $10. Chinese Auction
tickets start at $5 for 5 chances or you can purchase a sheet of 25
for $20.

Thanks again for your support!
