Hello again!
Just a little quick update concerning next weekend.
Nomadic Tapestry (www.nomadictapestry.com) is bringing back Artemis
Mourat for another workshop weekend (November 21-23) featuring Turkish
technique - from zils to skirts, Oriental vs Roma, and the myths and
facts of Turkish-style dancing. Check out the website www.nomadictapestry.com
for details.
Shahala Liz is sponsoring her 5th Annual Toys for Tots Hafla to be
held on November 22, 2008 at American Legion Post 237 (2900 Drake
Avenue, Huntsville). The featured performer this year will be Artemis
Mourat from Maryland! There will also be several guest artists from
surrounding areas as well as local performers - Nalah Caravanserai
from Madison and Lumani and the Lounge Lizards from Huntsville.
There will also be a chinese silent auction and all the proceeds of
the auction will be for Toys for Tots. The event starts at 6:00 pm
with the show featuring Middle Eastern Dance beginning at 7:30 pm.
During intermission, the results of the silent auction will be
announced. Bring your checkbooks or cash since all the items will need
to be taken home that evening.
Show tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for kids 6-12. Bring a toy to
donate and you get $2 off the ticket price! Chinese Auction Tickets
will start at $5 for 5 tickets or $20 for a sheet of 25 tickets.

Last thing - mark your calendar for the Bellydance Swap/Trade Day to
be held at Nomadic Tapestry - 1219 B&C Jordan Lane on December 6 from
2 - 5 pm. If you have items to "sell", bring your own table or grab a
spot. Space is first come - first serve but we will limit to 1 table
per person. Later that evening, the Beledi Club along with Nomadic
Tapestry will have their Christmas Hafla! Open dancing! Free!
Purely potluck event - so bring a dish, snack, or something to share.
Starts at 6:00 pm! Come out and mingle with us!
