I know some of you are in the Rochester area, so I thought you might be interested in showing up at this un-event. Chances are if you let me know you are there, you should be able to get a ride in an ice racer and/or possibly even get a chance to drive one during a practice session.

CNYIRA News:

“Many are cold, few are frozen, and some will be “not racing” this Sunday”

Honeoye Lake has 10” to 14” for an average of 11” of real good ice with out enough snow to have to plow. That means that because we are below the CNYIRA required 12” of ice we will not be able to have an officially sanctioned CNYIRA ice race this weekend. And none of the other lakes are ready yet either. We should be able to have a real race by the following weekend 1/31/09. Voice your opinion as to whether you would like to see a 2 day event or a Saturday event so that you can still race with AMEC on Sundays.

Now, getting back to this weekend:

Since we can’t have an official race, there will be a bunch of us “not” showing up to “not’” race on Sunday 1/25.

If you want to “not” race, you should “not” show up at about 10:30 to have time to “not” practice and then “not” race.

If anyone has some cones or some other form of pylons that are not barrels and not ice fishermen, please “don’t” bring them to our un-event.

We will be “not” entering the ice at Trident Marina which is essentially at the NE corner of Honeoye Lake. If you are trailering, leave your tow rig in the parking lot at the marina, which will be a first come first serve parking lot including the ice fishermen.

I hope I “don’t” see any of you there. If you “don’t” want more info, call me at 607-546-5887 or Kurt at 585-394-5580.

He will also be checking again sometime late Saturday, so that I can get one more update out Saturday night. So “don’t look at your computer for that.

“Not” Casey
