COTTONTOWN 7s TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

TOURNAMENT NOTES:

1. The tournament kicks off promptly at 0900. Please check your team in at our Tournament Central at least one hour before your first match. That way we know that you've made it. (Note: one team took a wrong turn and ended up in Virginia a couple of years ago)

2. Please have your teams ready to take the pitch once the team in front of you finish their match. We won't come looking for you. So, to avoid a forfeit please make sure you're ready to play when your time comes.
 

3. We are playing at a public park and alcohol is prohibited. Bring at your own risk. There will be police around the park throughout the day and violators may be kicked out.
 

4. Use the bathroom facilities, not the nearby woods. We realize that it is tempting to go in the bushes, so we appreciate your help. There are now two separate bathroom areas for your use.
 

5. Just as in years past, we have an intermission built into the schedule. This does two things. Gives our refs a break and it gives us time to figure out the seeds for the knockout rounds. We appreciate your patience. We have some fun entertainment and games to help pass the time. Our youth flag rugby players are also going to play a short intermission game, so please cheer them on!

6. This is a social tournament. There are open substitutions allowed in all matches. Aside from that variation, all other laws are the standard for Rugby 7s play. Our referees make the final decision on anything that happens on the pitch.
 

7. All of the sidelines are roped off. Please stay behind the ropes.

8. The Trainer's tent will be located between the two pitches along the fence line. We have three trainers assigned to the event. All three will be wearing bright orange CottonTown 7s shirts.

9. Have fun! We're blessed to be able to get back to playing rugby. Let's make the most of it.

10. Our Tournament Central is located roughly between the two fields along the fence. If you have any questions find one of our Volunteers, who will have bright green CottonTown 7s shirts on. 

We are going to have a small, extremely old and social round robin only division, at the tournament with 3-4 teams. If you have any players that are 40+ or 35+ and really out of shape, they are welcome to jump in on the games. They are going to be mostly motley sides. 

There will be a Food Truck on site as well to fill your bellies as a Kona Ice truck for cool refreshments. We will have drinks (water, Gatorade, etc..) for sale at our concessions trailer. We have tournament t-shirts and tank tops for sale as well. We appreciate your support.

REMINDER: We are completely paperless with our player waivers. All participating players are required to complete the Individual Player Waiver Form. All participants must also be registered with USA Rugby.
