to Baptistry Heater
Greetings Baptistryheater.com-

Why should we place a baptistry heater in our new church? What are the
benefits? Also what about costs of a unit?

Thanks

Thanks for your questions about baptistry heaters. First let me say
that water comes out of the ground at 54 degrees and that's whether
you in a church, home or public building. Unlike water heaters that
heat and then store the water, a baptistry heater is designed to take
the water in your baptistry and continuously heat the water to a
desired temperature. These heaters can raise the temperature anywhere
from 70 degrees to 110 degrees on average.
The main benefit of a heater for your baptistry is to keep you water
warm for use. No one wants to get into a cold baptistry! The only thing
that a church or organization really needs to decide are size, type and
costs involved. Sizes range form 3kw heater systems to 11.5kw heaters.
There's also the actual size of the unit. Smaller and medium size
church often don't have enough space under a baptistry for some of
the larger models. But those churches can purchase a smaller unit, that
often times can operate better than a larger one. One thing to beware
of the larger heaters is that they are designed for hot tubs, yes I
said hot tubs. Be sure to ask any company that sells floor units about
the multiple uses for them. I would try to stay away from them and
stick with units that are designed especially for baptisteries.
Another factor to look at is the heating type. Threes Electric, Natural
Gas, LP Gas and Immersion units. Most churches use the Electric type
units because there's electric near the baptistry itself. As rising
gas prices continue, more and more choose an Electric type. Gas units
are great if you can get them, but they typically need to be placed in
a closet area because of there size, not to mention an area that has
access to gas. Immersion units are great for smaller baptisteries,
portable units and often times are the cheapest. These units are pretty
much the same from company to company.
Prices can range from $270-$1,100 depending on the type of unit
you're looking at. Also, it's best to compare a unit from one
company to the next. For example, Immersion units, which have the same
features, look and style can range in price greatly. Take a look at
what we have found just by taking a minute or two over the internet:

jgoodsell.com sells the Immersion unit at $275.00 (shipping not
included)
baptistryheater.com sells the unit for $274.00 (shipping not included)
churchoutlet.com sells the unit for $318.00 (shipping not included)
biuchurch.com sells the unit for $345.00 (shipping not included)
cybersteeple.com sells the same unit for $325.00 (shipping not
included)

So just by looking at the range here, you could pay any where from
$274.00 to $345.00 depending who you purchase it from.
