Donate your cloths to the cyclone victim in Bangladesh

Dear Community Members:
 
In collaberation with Dhaka Club New York and ATN Bangla, We are going to collect new and used clothings to donate to cyclone victims in Bangladesh.
Dhaka Club New York would process and pack all the donation.
ATN Bangla would take the responsibility of transfer your donation from New York to Bangladesh.
 
You can help in two ways:
1. Donate clothings
2. Be a volunteer of this project
 
 
How to help as volunteer.
 
You can help us on the following regards,
1. Arrange transportation from Boston to New York City
2. Collect cloths in your area
3. Let us use your basement for temorary storage of the boxes of cloths.
 
Please contact us, if you would like to help.
 
We will ship all the donation at the processing center of Dhaka Club New York on Saturday, December 08, 2007

If you want to help to collect clothings, please feel free to do so and give us a call, we will pick them up from you.
 
Following guidelines would tremendously help us and other team who would ship your donation to Bangladesh
 
If possible, laundry the cloths you are going to donate
Consider any kind of cloths to donate including blanket, shoe and sneaker
If you can't laundry all the cloths, please keep laundried and not laundried item in seperate bag.

Thanks for your noble initiative.
I specifically commend two instructions.
One is to laundry the cloths, the other is to donate shoes.
Since after any cyclone, there is an epidemic of water-borne diseases,
walking barefoot in the affected area is very dangerous.

By when should we drop off our clothings etc.?

Hello Everybody,

 

 

Last Sunday ( December 09, 2007) we dropped off the cloths you donated for cyclone victim in Bangladesh at the processing center of ATN Bangla.

 

Thanks everybody for all your help and contribution.

 

We were not able to take donation from few of you as our truck was fully loaded. I am truly sorry because of any inconvenience I caused to you.
