Amra Kojon show, May 24th at MIT's Kresge

Dear Friends:

 

It is our greatest pleasure to invite you to AMRA KOJON's  upcoming show "রূপালী আলোয় ধুসর অতীত" or "Nostalgic Tunes from the Silver Screen" to celebrate it's fifth anniversary along with Bangla Noboborsho 1415 (Bengali New Year 1415), on May 24^th, 2008 at Kresge Auditorium, MIT. Bangladesh Students Association of MIT (MIT-BSA) has kindly agreed to host this event.

 

The show is a rendition of songs from Bengali movie classics that our previous generations grew up cherishing.  We are expecting to have around 200 performers to join us to entertain 1200 audience.

 

PROGRAM DETAILS

The show will start on time. Please take your seats by 5:30pm.

 

Venue:

MIT, Kresge Auditorium, 48 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA 02139

Exhibition:            3:00pm-5:45pm

Musical program:   6:00pm-9:00pm.

 

Special Appearance:

Kabari Sarwar (Legendary actress from Bangladesh)

Sajjad Zahir (Chief of Editing, Bangladesh Film Development Corporation)

 

Tickets:

General admission - $10.00 before May 24, 2008, $20.00 at the Venue

VIP admission - $100.00 (VIP ticket holders will have reserved front row seating arrangements)

 

All Cell phone should be turned off during the show.

 

There will be a 20min break during the show. Food stalls will be available for refreshments during the break.

 

Only Amra Kojon assigned video and photographers are allowed to take pictures/video during the show.

 

Children under six are not allowed in the auditorium.

 

AMRA KOJON will provide free of cost baby sitting service at the venue by certified baby sitters for children ages 3-6. Coloring books, movies, will be available to entertain the children. Please notify us by May 15^th latest if you would like to avail the baby sitting service and please provide us with the children's name and age.

 

DVDs from the previous Amra Kojon shows will be available for $10.00 each in the lobby.
