Bangalore Bicycling School,
Cubbon Park Session, Sunday 19 April 2026
Blazingly hot day with no respite from the sun. Bandstand alive with Music performance.
Trainers : Aman, Ganesh, Parag, Ali, Bhoomika
Hello: Ali's nephew Ali with his wife Alifiya, and friends Sudhanshu and Diksha, helped to get the bikes out ...did not wait for a click though :( . Chandrashekhar Ji kindly brought a cycle for little learners, donated by his daughter. He was accompanied by his free lancing journalist friend Shivprasad ji, who promised a small write up for BBS . Prabhakar Rao and the GoGreen gang, coming back from their sunday ride.
Newbies :
Prakruthi- Bhoomika's friend from Nursing college, after the basics, practiced scooting and half pedaling.
Ruchi - She came pretty late as she got confused about renting a bike in order to learn. Told her the basics and then she took 2 rounds on the rented bike learning to scoot and half pedal.
Afsha : Got the limelight sitting on the just donated spanking new bike ! Learnt basics and started scooting.
Farhan : Tall lanky brother, appeared disinterested in the whole proceeding.. but hung on and did some scooting
Shama : Mom to Afsha and Farhan, herself learnt basics and started scooting.
Ongoing Learners:
Antra : Star of the day, the Pratilipi marketing professional went from scooting tentatively, all the way to pedaling and a bitof zig zag. Has a slight lurch due to hip movement, some practice should correct that. Despite being a hot day, she worked hard the full session.
Ashwini : Started scooting today and is able to balance very briefly. Practiced half pedaling uphill too.
Advik- Continued scooting today, had a tumble crashing into Parag but both of them soldiered on, till Advik had another one at the very end and decided to call it a day ! he made good progress and is scooting well with both feet, though there is still a bit of a lurch that needs correction.
Meghana- Continued with scooting and was also half pedaling half way uphill.
Nishi : Worked on scooting, tried to pedal a bit in the last round, needs a bit more practice to stay upright.
Roshni: Second star of the day, she came after a break, and did a few rounds of scootng, and then managedto start pedaling too.
Sairah: Came after a break, and worked on handlebar control, with turning, zigzag and circle drills.
Soujanya : Slow and steady. She continued to get better at scooting but still needs more practice.
Sanvi : Young girl came with dad and Micky on her on bike after a long break. Practised almost on her own.
**Keep pedaling and see you next weekend! 🚴‍♂️🌿**

Hi trainers & everyone,

Thank you for the detailed update on the Bangalore Bicycling School session!
Your efforts are truly commendable, especially considering how hot the day was. It’s fantastic to hear about the progress—a big congratulations to Antra and Roshni for moving from scooting to pedaling.

It was indeed a beautiful moment to meet you all and say hi!
We've also added photos from this meet to the GoGreen website here:
