Teaching adults how to cycle Cubbon Park session 14th July 24

Hi friends..

Bangalore Bicycling School, Cubbon Park Sunday 14 Jul 2024

Cool and Breezy day today initally with some sprinkle of rain, followed by bright sun later, with lots of newbies and seniors

Trainers: Ali, Parag, Junaid,Prasanna

Volunteer: Vinay,Arjit

Hello: Rohini, Shaurya with Kumar, Habiba gang

Newbies : 10

Amayra- Armaans younger sister, started with scooting today, but was hampered by lack of practice time with a cycle her size. Shaurya very gallantly offered his cycle to her for a while.

Jacqueline - Started slowly with static balancing and then Practiced scooting

Kirti- Knows how to cycle and learnt basics of safety.

Manha - A walk-in did good in her first attempt and was able to ride with confidence, her brother Ibrahim will start next week

Manjushri- Practiced scooting and a bit of pedaling.

Mihir was very shaky intially and was able to manage balancing after some time, will come next week to practice.

Prajwal- Started a bit slowly withscooting and progressed to pedaling ?

Shruti- Came towards the end of the class, quickly learny to balance and then moved to scooting and then pedaling. In another session she should be cycling fluently.

Sevitha - Part of the trio of Badminton playing girls, sportingly tried cycling today, and by the time she had to leave, was able to balance and pedal downhill as well as uphill. Braking and turning needs to improve.

Siri: Perhaps youngest of learners, was a walk-in 7 yr old for whom we discussed not right sized bicycle , till Arjit came on to the scene and generously lent his and also supervised her progress. Still in scooting stage.

Seniors: 10

Armaan- Continued practicing turns and circles. Got acquainted with half pedalling.

Akshara : Came after a long gap, not sure how she fared but said she did two complete rounds !

Arjit : He continued with his volunteer role and taught another young girl, Siri, this time.

Harsha - Continued with pedaling and startted on zig zag drill by the end of the class.

Kevin : Still scooting with a bit of a lurch, but is also able to pedal a bit.

Lalitha- Progressed on pedaling and zig ages, and is eady to do turns and circles.

Mini : She, Kevin's mom, was not keen to ride today. She needs to learn slow riding and half Pedalling

Nirmala : Arjit's mom, continued with scooting taday.

Vinay- Vinay has been riding regularly andgenerously sharing his bike with other learners, and taught kevin today.

Neha - was scooting for a long time and was able to balance in her very first attempt, need to practice more
