Apologies for the delay in reporting on last Sunday's training !

We had two sessions:

Begur session was done  by Naga Prakash since Ganesh was away..

Quoting Naga

"
Report from Begur:
Trainer: Naga Prakash
Student: Soumik
This is Soumik's second session. It was a great progress. He was able to pedal on his own. There was some issue with balancing sometimes. Anyways he should be able to overcome it in next sessions.

Cubbon Park report :

Rain Gods kept their cloudy presence but gave a respite from drizzles, making it a perfect outdoor  activity day and Cubboners were loving it !

There was a private 5K running event going on with a large flex banner arch  bang in the middle of our main car park teaching area and two pandals on the side, further crowding the space..
We thought about shifting to secondary area but since there was a clear strip and the event likely to finish by 9-9.15, we stayed put...

Trainers : 6
Parag, Arvind, Ali, Shamala, Krishna, Vimal kumar,

Newbies
Nagarathna, Anand, Lakshya Agatsya, Tani.

Seniors
Deepak, Siddaraju, Ranjeeth Roja Meena Chaitra, Kavya

Anand and Nagarathna were first to arrive. Shamala started with Nagarathna and she was able to scoot, but has fear of fall which she needs to overcome.  Vimal kumar continued with assisted pedalling.

Shamala then initiated little Lakshya,  (came with her mom.. who was busy organising the running event !) eager to learn and no fear of falling ! She passed her on to Ali later and got busy with Kavitha, who had glimpse of scooting last week and continued today.

Lakshya was a mixed bag, not scooting or balancing perfectly but very stable posture on the saddle and way ahead with cycle control and emergency stops.

Anand was the star, Parag started his scooting lessons then Krishna got in and by the end of the session his fast and fearless scooting  gave palpitations to other trainers except his mentor Krishna ! Not pedalling yet, but should be easy !

Tani had learnt in childhood and  Arvind helped her to refresh initially with scooting and soon pedalling uphill too. Parag was then teaching turning and circles...should move up to hand signalling next session.

Agatsya seemed a bit tense... but wth Arvind's guidance, he has started appreciating the gist of hand control while scooting..should be balanced riding in couple of session.

Siddaraju and Ranjeeth were in self learning mode, with inputs from passing trainers. Surprisingly... comfortable with anticlockwise circling, Clockwise circle was Ranjeeth's bugbear of the day he resolved with Ali !

Deepak rolled in with rented bike and Ali showed hand signalling and half pedalling to him and he grasped both well.. but will have to keep practicing..

Roja and Meena,  were getting more adept at cycle control, even with the milling crowd of 5K runners and both sisters are so committed that they got a rental bike to practice on their own after the session ended !

We had some yummy breakfast courtesy Lakshya's mom..Thanks her for that treat !

Overall, a good day out in the field for all !

Till next weekend

Keep pedalling !!
