An interesting product, but I see a few drawbacks, inherent to the design.
1. It's been designed to provide power without pedaling, and not merely pedal-assist, so at least in Europe, it's not considered a bicycle, or even an electric bicycle. This would be classified as a moped.
2. Insanely heavy. The bicycle without battery is supposed be around 20 kg and the battery is 12-15 kg, making the bike 35 kg.
3. Single speed! Given it's weight, should there ever be an issue with the battery, riding it is going to be very hard. If you had decided to go to Anchetty, or god forbid, Kalhatty, you'll have to leave the bike and get back on foot.
4. Rear wheel, with the drive, doesn't have disk brakes, but front wheel has disk brakes. Nice recipe to get tossed over the handle bars when you suddenly hit both brakes, at full speed.
5. Ugly and huge battery housing which takes up ALL of the space between the top-tube and down-tube. Looks ugly and takes away the space to mount bottle cages.
6. Clearly a moped like design, rather than a bicycle design.
Features
1. Offers pedal assist only, and won't provide power without pedaling. Classified as an electric bicycle.
2. Total weight, including the battery is only 18.7 kg
3. 10 speed. The battery is clearly a bonus, on a very nice bicycle. You can ride this as a normal bike, without electric power.
4. All disk brake, for excellent stopping.
5. Very compact battery housing. Easy to mount bottle cage and easy to lock.
6. A bicycle-centric approach in design.
7. Branded battery components (Shimano Steps).
