to Ballots for Balut
Corzine exchanged at least 745 pages of e-mail with Carla Katz during
contract negotiations between the Corzine administration and the
state's seven major state employee unions, including the CWA.
Their relationship, the financial settlement Katz received after their
breakup and e-mail exchanges concerning labor negotiations suggest
potential conflicts of interest for Corzine.
After winning in court, Corzine has effectively protected the
'principle' of executive privilege (which has not had a stronger
advocate since Tricky Dick Nixon). Now he can release the messages
without making e-mails subject to open records requests.
