All Balboa weekend in Ohio: anyone?

Is anyone going to the All Balboa weekend in Ohio this June? I am
seriously considering going, and it would be nice if someone I "know"
is going (heh, I use that word loosely because I have been out of
circulation for 3+ years). If not, I guess I'll go alone, something
that sounds rather daunting (I did that once for another festival way
WAY back and that was fun, I guess, but lonely) but on the other hand,
I want to really immerse myself in Bal. Anyone have any encouraging
words for me?

Tiffany and I are planning are going. I'm not sure about anyone else.
Going to an event that is only bal is a great way to immerse yourself in bal. I've been to a few now and they are a lot of fun.

Great! I'm signing up now to get the early bird special. Also, are you
having practice this Sunday? I thought the Bal Austin web site said
practice was on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.

We just had practice last Sunday on the 8th. The next will be on the 22nd.

My ditziness astonishes me sometimes. I looked at my calendar, and saw
that the 8th **is** the second Sunday of the month. I was thinking at
the time, this is the first weekend of the month, so what the--???

I am very excited about Cleveland and hope you come. Dave and I have
a hotel with 2 double beds and you are welcome to stay and split the
costs with us. Girls in one bed- boys in the other.

Tiffany and Dave!! I answered Tiffany's question in an email w/
regards to the hotel room. Sorry I did not see her email to me until
just now. And more airheadedness: I headed to the Continental Club
yesterday evening, ready for some free music and bal w/ my usual gin
and tonic but the dude at the door was like, "$25 please." I mean, I
knew it was SXSW week so why didn't I check the club's site? I was
intending to talk to you guys then.

You should check out austindance.net . It has a list of dance events going on in Austin. It makes it easier to see when things get canceled like the Continental Club show last night.

Yeah, I know about that. I don't know what happend to the Yahoo group austinswingsyndicate (or whatever it was called), but back when I subscribed to it, I got annoyed w/ all the postings filling up my inbox. I also really don't care about receiving the Lindy notices, just bal.
