Hey everyone,
This isn't Quaker, but our spiritual/religious cousins the UUs have a training weekend coming up for people interested in young adult ministry. If you're interested in that among Friends, there may be enough parallels to make it worth going. (I can't make it bc my sister is visiting, but I encourage anyone who is interested.)

      The Young Adult and Campus Ministry Leadership Training is fast approaching!   We hope you all can make it for what promises to be an exciting and inspiring weekend of sharing ideas and information about building Young Adult community in churches, campus' and everywhere else.

It's a half-weekend event, starting Friday evening at 6pm going through until late Saturday afternoon at 5pm. The training is designed to bring together core leaders from local groups in order to strengthen skills, connections, and visions for campus ministry and Young Adult groups! The conference is set up as a seminar where everyone participates together in small groups and as a community. These conferences are for all those involved in Unitarian Universalist campus ministry and Young Adult groups, including but not limited to students, ministers, lay leaders, seminary students, and bridging youth.

Topics we'll cover include:
-outreach strategies
-How congregations can be more welcoming to Young Adults
-programming ideas
-Leadership development
-How to balance worship, community and social justice in your group.
-Finding Funding for your group

There will be $15-30 registration fee for this training, but scholarships are available, so don't let that keep you away!

Friday dinner as well as breakfast and lunch on Saturday will be provided. Also, please feel free to email me with any questions.
