Spiral Gardens 10K fundraiser oct 16th!!!

Hey all! So my name is Blaze and I am interning with the Spiral
Gardens. Today in class we all discusses ideas to help raise money for
the Spiral Gardens. The Spiral Gardens is a really amazing garden and
urban food security project. They practically make no money because
their goal is to provide very cheep food to the local community. They
have a really great local food stand every Tuesday. But, because of
money problems, the Spiral Gardens are in big trouble and desperately
need funds to keep doing all the great things they are doing. So, the
radical reuse class on Mon. decided to host a 10K walk, ride, run that
ends in a fun garden party/ bake sale/ live music event. Also, later
on the same day, we are planning to throw a benefit party with live
music at lothlorien co-op. Details are still being worked out, but we
definitely need more people and as much publicity as possible. We are
planning to charge $20 to register for the run and then hopefully make
money by selling seeds and food at the after party. Please e-mail me
or Andy if you are interested in getting involved!! We are looking for
people who can play music, people who want to bake for the bake sale,
people who know of good places/ gardens to include in the running
course, and people who want to come party! TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO
COME!!!!

We can't go on friday because they are not open that day. They are only
open Tuesday, Wed, and sat. from 10-5. so lets go together next tuesday or
wed. are free those days and do you have a bike? it is pretty far.

i do have a bike and i can go on wed any time before 2. we can discuss more in the garden on monday.
