BUGI Contract Fall 2010

I, ________________________________ agree to do at least three hours
of work as a garden intern per unit per week for
_____________________________(community garden). I will be
supervised by ___________________________(garden supervisor) and, on
two separate occasions—midterm and end of semester—I will obtain a
signature from my supervisor to indicate that I have met the quota for
each week’s work. I will keep a log of activities completed during
each week. I will meet with a program director, Anders Olson and/or
Amy Winzer, mid-semester and at the end of the semester to turn in my
signed activity log and discuss my progress at the community garden.
At the end of the semester, I will complete an evaluation of the
internship program and a reflection on my experiences as an intern to
be handed in to Anders Olson and Amy Winzer, and to be shared with
other interns in the BUGI program.

I hereby agree to dutifully complete all of the aforementioned tasks
with enthusiasm and a fun-loving attitude! I understand that failure
to do so will result in a failing grade for ESPM 99/199.

Who do I give this to? Do I complete this in an e-mail or print it out and
give it to someone? I wouldn't know whom to say to supervise me... Ideally
I would love to work in soga, but if I'm needed elsewhere I will do it.

Cyrena, I posted instructions as a page on the google group.. the link should be "BUGI requirements and how to get your CCN."  Are you having trouble viewing the page?  If so, I might need to repost it.  I don't want technological flaws to slow us down!

Sign it, scan it, and email it back to me. You can also give it to me or Anders in person.  We will be at the student garden Wednesday from 4-7.  I encourage you to find a different community garden to work with, as I think they may be more in need of help than the student garden is. Anders may tell you something different, as we've thought of some great projects for our interns to do.  It really depends what you want to do.  You can always work with SOGA for now until you find a different place.  In that case, Anders would be your supervisor.  My number is 240-344-8602.  Call if you have any questions.

Is that alright? If I just work for SOGA right now? I'm highly considering
working at the oholone garden with Durwood, but I'd also like to be
associated more with SOGA. Is it alright if I contact him next week
instead of this week. and lastly, is there anything I can to in the SOGA
garden this weekend?
