Hello BUGIs,

Just a reminder that there are some work parties this weekend, which are not only going to be tons of fun and full of great people, but are perfect opportunities to get caught up on missed hours or get ahead on your hours just in case you have to miss a week later in the semester or even if you want to end a week or two early!  This is a great chance to gain gardening knowledge, meet other interns, and see what's up in other community gardens of Berkeley.

Saturday, Oct. 9 from 9AM-1PM, Claremont Middle School.  Joy Moore is the garden manager and she's a really fun lady.  Yassi interns with Joy and would love it if other BUGinterns would join in on the fun! You can take the 51B down College and get off near the Rockridge Bart station (it's a little over a ten minute ride from the Durant/College stop).  Or you can ride a bike, which looks like it might even be quicker, depending on where you're coming from.  I suspect that there will be kids at this one, so if you like kids, don't miss out on this!

Sunday, Oct. 10 from 10AM-4PM, Kenney Cottage Community Garden.  I sent out a message to you guys about this one already, and I'd like to extend another invitation to each and every one of you.  This is where Cyrena interns.  You can take the 51B down University and get off at 6th street.  Walk North on 5th street for two blocks until you just pass Virginia St (same street as the student organic garden) and you're there!

I'd love to meet more of you in person, so please come.  And if you feel like biking there together, let me know and we'll organize a little crew. I'd love to know ahead of time if you feel like coming.  So far, I know that Cyrena, Nicole, John, and Anderz are all in for Sunday!

Peas and love,

Amy
